Hi! I’m Becca.

With a Master’s in Education and a background in virtual adult learning, I’m excited to combine my love for woodworking and teaching to guide you through your first project.

FAQ

  • Who is this course designed for?

It’s designed for beginners: anyone who has a desire to learn to build something with their own hands.

This course is NOT for people who have a foundational understanding of woodworking.

  • Doesn't this hobby require lots of space & money?

I built my first coffee table in the living room of my tiny apartment for under $90 using only borrowed tools.

This course sets you up for success regardless of your space or budget.

  • How long does this course take?

The core video lessons take just over 2 hours to complete across all 5 modules. How much extra time you spend is completely up to you — whether that’s taking notes, reviewing the supplemental materials, or practicing the techniques. On average, most learners invest about 3–5 hours outside of the actual building process, though it will naturally vary from person to person. Realistic timeline for building: - Day 1: Tooling & planning - Day 2: Cutting & assembly - Day 3: Finishing

  • How long do I have access to the course & its materials?

Woodworking for Beginners is fully self-paced, allowing you to take the course whenever it is convenient for you! You will have lifetime access.

You can revisit lessons at any time, even after completing the course.

  • Do I have to own tools in order to take this course?

No. I built my first table without any of my own tools by having my wood cut for me in-store, and by borrowing tools from others.

If investing in tools is something you’re interested in, this course and its supplemental materials will give you a full understanding of tool types at various price points.
